Air Camp Inc. is committed to offering a safe, structured and exciting environment for each of our events. We take this responsibility very seriously in order to provide the safest possible experience for your child. In addition to our standing safety practices, we have implemented new guidelines and protocols in accordance with Responsible RestartOhio. The highest level of safety and security is ultimately a partnership between our staff, partners, parents and participants. Such collaboration with our adopted protocols is greatly appreciated to ensure that Air Camp, Inc. can continue to offer engaging experiences in the foreseeable future.

COVID-19 Air Camp, Inc. Safety Protocols:
  • Any participant that has or is discovered to have a temperature at check-in or any point during the event of 100 degrees or higher, will need to exit the event as soon as appropriate per our protocols. If the participant is scheduled for a multi-day event, they will not be permitted to return for participation until they are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever – reducing medication.

  • Modified check-in and check-out procedures have been adopted for maximum social distancing and limited opportunities for exposure. Whenever possible we request that only one parent or legal guardian attend check-in and check-out with their participant. Please refer to “Responsible RestartOhio: Social Distancing, Masking, and Congregating” for recommended best practices.

  • For adult participants, non-registered guests are not permitted to accompany participants during any portion of the event including the registration and/or graduation portions of the event.

  • Disposable masks (non-adjustable sizing) will be available for participants daily as needed.

  • Social distancing will be implemented as appropriate and when possible. Flight group sizes have been reduced. Each participant is expected to remain within their flight group at all times as appropriate and will not be permitted to interact with other flight groups unless appropriate. Yet, Air Camp is collaborative by nature and participants often work with partners at a safe distance (whenever possible).

  • Hand washing will take place throughout the day as appropriate.

  • Public water fountains are not anticipated to be available at any site. Attendees are required to bring their own water bottle (up to 20 oz.), clearly labeled with their first and last names. Attendees are responsible for carrying their own water bottles (water to refill bottles will be made available if possible). Backpacks are discouraged and are not permitted at some host venues. Sunscreen and insect repellant are recommended daily and should be applied prior to arriving for camp but will not be provided by Air Camp, Inc.

  • Air Camp, Inc. will notify parents of participants or adult participants of any verified positive COVID case(s) in the event that you or your child has been potentially exposed.

Air Camp, Inc. is implementing the above protocols and has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. However, Air Camp, Inc. cannot guarantee that you or your minor child will not become infected with COVID-19 while participating in the camp, attending an event, or visiting an aviation site.

We are continually monitoring the impact of COVID-19 on organizations and our state; thus, Air Camp, Inc. will be updating these protocols on a regular basis and encourage all partners, parents, and participants to check back for updated information.
